In Studio Photos

Taking photos in a staged environment is a lot more different from a natural one. Inside the MCAD Grey Studio, I took shots of staged people, or objects. I had to work with lighting for everything to look comfortable, or to look correct. It’s a lot more direction-based. It’s also more nerve-racking working with people if you’re not used to it. You just keep thinking, “Alright, telling them to move their arm up more sounds awkward,” “Telling them to make a serious face sounds weird.” Eventually you realize you have to take charge to feel less odd and to get the photos done. Luckily I was shooting with a bunch of friends so the experience wasn’t too stressing.
